how do you make lines backwards?

i want to make red lines backwards but when i left click then pull the mouse from right to left the arrow is on top i saw a vid. on youtube and it said to press shift then make the line and that didn't work! halp please!!!!!!

i don't know why it isn't working...................... pressing shift while you draw it from RIGHT TO LEFT will make him go backwards

if it doesn't work i have no solution to your problem
