Why won't the hotkeys work in linerider silverlite!!!!!!

I've got the same problem, but at first I thought it was because I have a Mac. 
What I don't get is why someone from the creators doesn't either fix it, or explain what we're doing wrong? Come on, Line Rider crew! Let's get the 
show on the road! 
When i try to use hotkeys like space bar to move around, it dosn't do anything and i can't even use backspace to get rid of the last line.
